ROSA T2-HT2 Quantitative Test
Description
T-2 toxin, and its metabolite HT-2 toxin, may be found in cereal grains, particularly in oats. These mycotoxins are produced by Fusarium, which grows optimally in moist, cool conditions. Research is ongoing to evaluate the health effects of these toxins on human and animal health, but it has already shown that T-2 and HT-2 toxins are a concern for swine and poultry.
The ROSA T2/HT2 test enables grain and feed producers to quantitatively detect T-2 and HT-2 toxins. The Rapid One Step Assay is a lateral flow test that is read in the Charm EZ-M system or the ROSA-M Reader. Samples are extracted with 70% methanol.
The ROSA T2/HT2 test has been validated by Charm for detecting T-2 and HT-2 toxins in the following commodities:
Barley
Corn
Corn Gluten Meal
Oats
Sorghum
Soybean Meal
Wheat
Wheat Flour
Benefits
Validated for eight commodities
Quantitation range is 0 to 250 ppb for the first dilution, 100 to 2500 ppb for the second dilution
Quantitative results in 10 minutes
Extract sample with 70% methanol
Uses same equipment as other ROSA grain tests
